Hotels Near the NY NOW International Gift Fair – August 15 – 19, 2015
When over 35,000 people from around the world descend upon Manhattan Isle for this years NY NOW Market for Home and Lifestyle Show (formally NYIGF – New York International Gift Fair) it’s guaranteed that quite a few of these people are going to be booking hotel rooms. New York City is truly a global travel destination and it is vital to make your hotel reservations well in advance.
The event is held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center (located at 655 W 34th St NYC, along 11th Ave. between 34th and 38th streets) on the far West Side in Midtown. Try to avoid the pitfall of booking a “deal” through a travel site ultimately finding yourself stuck at a hotel 40 blocks and 30 minutes away. By not taking a little time in advance to properly plan your accommodations it can cause some real unintended time-wasting consequences, and it happens to people all the time.
Smart tip – Book a hotel near the Javits Convention Center. Pretty simple
This centrally located area of NYC between Times Square and Hells Kitchen is loaded with world class and budget friendly hotels that will make it ultra convenient for you to conduct business at the NY NOW show. These neighborhood blocks are always filled, alive and bustling with people. There’s plenty of great restaurants and dynamite entertainment as well.
Relative newcomers Yotel New York and The Out NYC, are two of the hottest hotels currently receiving rave reviews at the heart of this exciting area. They’ve shaken up the hotel industry with their innovative styles, sleek interior designs and have added unique twists to their guest’s experience.
YOTEL New York (located 570 10th Ave between 41st and 42nd street) is a unique, first-class hotel experience at a great value and boasts the largest outdoor hotel space in NYC. A terrace over 7000 sq. ft. with amazing skyline views! Automated check-in along with a robot named Yobot that takes your luggage, are some of the stark differences this hotel offers right upon entering the hotel lobby. After checking in, enjoy the convenience of one-stop service at Mission Control, Yotel’s version of a concierge desk where you can have all your NYC questions answered. Their rooms all have an ultra modern, minimalist design and are truly a merge of innovation and comfort.
The Out NYC (located 510 West 42nd St between 10th and 11th Ave.) in 2012 joined the ranks of the prestigious Fodor’s 100 Hotel Awards (these guys know hotels). Chosen as a top 100 hotel destinations from a list spanning 41 countries and over 4000 nominations that reflects today’s hottest hotel trends. The hotel is ultra hip and is also know as NY’s first straight friendly hotel.
By planning ahead your mind should be at ease. Knowing that after a long busy day on your feet, making business connections and networking your butt off, you’ve got a comfy spot close by waiting for you.
Only question now is; would you like a King sized bed or two Queens.
Which decision will you make?
If your going to be at the show and would like to meet up, comment or connect with me.
Enjoy and Ciao for Now,
